InDemand Interpreting was founded in 2007 by Daniel Pirestani and his wife Elena. Elena was (and is) a busy medical interpreter in Wenatchee, a small town in Central Washington. Daniel saw first hand many of the issues faced by both interpreters and health care providers in providing quality language access to patients. He thought there must be a better way, and given his technology background, he proceeded to create a better way to deliver language access. InDemand was one of the first companies to offer Video Remote Interpreting on standard laptops and medical-quality carts, bringing the price point down, and providing an affordable alternative to in-person interpreting.
Today, InDemand Interpreting is one of America’s fastest growing private companies, with offices in Wenatchee, Tukwila and Lombard, IL (outside of Chicago). InDemand Interpreting supports hundreds of health care sites, and thousands of patients and health care professionals, providing quality language access, an important component to improving doctor-patient communication.
